Have you ever thought you might be gay even if you don't necessarily identify as gay or have problems with the gay community as a whole, like something is off? It could be you g0y, you just like hanging out with the guys on a man to man level and may even find other men attractive but don’t really consider yourself gay.

My interest in languages goes way back.
Mrs Mills started at school in the summer of 1961 - and she was unlike anyone I had ever met before. Facially she was different and she had bronze, olive skin. She was going to teach us English, French and music. I found out she came from a place called Switzerland, although at 8 years of age I had no idea what that meant. Curiously, sometimes she also went by the name Madame Du Pont - all very strange.
She was one of the best teachers I ever had, if not the best. And she gave me an enduring love of two things: the French language (and by extension all languages), and the Mediterranean. Curiously, she also taught us English - a native French speaker teaching English to English boys in and English school.
We also learned Latin at that school, although we never understood why we had to learn a dead language - how stupid of the school. Only years later did I come to realise that it was one of the most useful subjects I ever learned, and I still use it today. It explained where our culture came from, it taught us grammar, and it was the key to understanding many English words.
I have also dabbled in German, Spanish, Italian and Welsh. Now there's a weird language for us anglophones. Following bizarre rules, words mutate at the beginning not the end as you would expect. How am I supposed to find anything in the dictionary? And there are at least a dozen ways of making a word plural.
Music. Painting and drawing. Languages.
My main love is music - generally 60s-80s, rock, blues and even some classical. I'll talk more about that on the music thread.
A couple of years ago I started going along to an art group. I'd always had thoughts about wanting to learn but never thought I was any good or had any talent. Someone at work invited me to join their group and I risked it, going. We are a very casual group mostly doing whatever we want but there is some tuition. (Incidentally our leader/organiser is from the US, Alabama or Mississippi I think - been here in New Zealand for over 50 years.) With some help from her I found I could draw a bit, got interested in watercolour and then found pastels which is what I like doing at the moment. I hated pastels at first until shown what to do!
For years now, I have said that my favorite movie is The Passion of the Christ. Probably because of the emotional impact it had on me in the theater like no other movie ever has done. I have enjoyed many movies... I love movies & I am always watching old ones on FrndlyTV. To name a few faves: The Lord of the Rings series and The Hobbit series. Musicals: Singing in the Rain, The Sound of Music, Chicago, My Fair Lady, The Music Man, Mary Poppins, Fiddler on the Roof. Classics: Mr Deeds Comes to Town, Philadelphia Story, Ben Hur, The Ten Commandments. Also Pride & Prejudice, Sense & Sensibility, Emma, Little Women. The Chronicles of Narnia. The Hiding Place. (This was my favorite for years).
I watch a lot of TV. My all time favorite show is till going: The Chosen. I think it is the best thing out there telling a Biblical story. Shows I have enjoyed watching have been: Silo, Severance, Dark Matter, Schmigadoon, Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist, My Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Ghosts, Pushing Daisies, Murdoch Mysteries, Jane the Virgin, Lost, Fringe, The Carol Burnett Show, Mary Tyler Moore, Dick Van Dyke, The Waltons, Hill St. Blues, Warehouse 13, Eureka, Torchwood, etc. I do watch cop shows, medical shows, law shows... sometimes... but there is too much of that... I tend to be drawn to something a little different. I like musicals and sci fi.
